Patrik Syversen (b. 1982) is a director and screenwriter.
He made his debut in 2008 with the horror film Manhunt. The following years he directed Prowl (2010), Exteriors (2011), You Said What? (2011) - and served as showrunner and director for 2012's TV-series Hellfjord.
His fifth feature, Det som en gang var (Afterparty), was released theatrically in Norway in 2016, and 2017 saw the release of Universal Studios' Dragonheart: Battle For The Heartfire, in addition to the independent feature film Demon Box.
In 2017, he directed two episodes of the acclaimed series Young and Promising - and in 2018 Kieler Street was released in Norway. Syversen was the creator and showrunner for the 10 episode TV-series, and co-wrote all episodes in addition to directing nine of them. The series was nominated for several awards, among them the Nordic Film and TV-funds prize for outstanding writing at the Göteborg Film Festival in 2019. He has since served as a writer on Anagram Norway’s relationship drama Between us, and has most recently directed and co-written all episodes of seasons two through four of the award-winning Discovery+-series Sigurd Fåkke Pult (Sigurd can’t get laid).
